custom SUPERCHARGER kit mounted on ac bracket
thought you guys might wanna take a look at this. i may consider attempting this for my b series http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33741
my idea- would be better if it were an actual supercharger that can be turned on or off like the ac can be so you are not constantly killing your gas mileage

damn that thing looks like crap, but if it works correctly who cares....right? I have never heard of a charger you could turn on and off but the idea makes sense. Wonder if it really works?

hehe you thought it would be easy?
And per other peoples comments about superchargers turning on and off.
thats true,
the jackson racing kit has a "Bypass valve" built in, whenever this valve is open
intake air skips the blower and goes directly into ur engine, for n/a operation,
when it's closed you boost.
So at idle, or in neutral and such, you won't make any boost.
and if your belt isn't attached to the blower you can drive around like it's an n/a car.
this kit looks nifty though, I say go for it!

The mount design hangs the AKSC too far off the block. The weight that far out stress the tiny AC bolts and the heads shear off. It was designed that way to clear the stock exhaust manifold. My redesign has the blower closer to the block, but will require a custom header.
The JRSC Eaton units has a bypass valve that is open at idle/cruise. The SC is always pumping but the boost is divereted BACK to the SC inlet, aka recirculated.
Tim's AKSC bypass design, well not gonna give that part away!!!!!!!
I will also incorp. a FMIC like a small Greddy.

i swear to god ive seen that done before. i was visiting my friend in Reno Nevada, and we were at the local street race spot. when a bucket eg hatch rolled in sounding like nothing i heard before. he poped the hood and it was a ls/vtec with the damn charger in the front i guess on the ac bracket. he said it came off a old mercury. it worked fine at idle and reving it, but didnt see him floor it... never seen or heard any car like it.
