Question for Hatch owners with k20 swaps
I have a 94 hatch with a h22a swap on it, and I'm pretty happy with it and it's decently fast but I will be swaping a k20a on it next week and I just want to know if you guys think it's worth it and if it's better and if you can install power steering with it.

k20 = new power
there more or less the same power levels.
h22 = 200 hp
h22a = 220 jdm blue top
k20a2 = 200 hp
k20a = 220 jdm R motor

They are about the same power, but the k20 is a superior engine by far. You will get a lot more power out of it than the h22 with the same amount of money.
Put a turbo on the h22 and you'll see a good power gain. Take that same turbo and put it on the k20, you will see a GREAT power gain. Same with bolt-ons. The k20 will respond to bolt-ons much more than any h22. IMHO, the k20 is worth the little more to swap.
Also, the k20 is much lighter than the h22.
As far as the power steering question. You will have to PM user nikos, he is a k20 expert. He'll tell you everything you know about the k20 and then some. I have seen a teg that kept power steering but I'm not sure about a civic.

Power steering can be retained. You do realise that if you decide to add power steering in your civic, you are also going to have to replace the steering rack? Big pain in the *** if you ask me. No need for it in a civic.. Just get a membership to the YMCA
If you like all motor and want someday to have a 250whp+ all motor street car then yes.

Go for the K20a..... you can make some sick power with just boltons.... the H22's are heavy and old school now days..... dont worry you will be happy with your k20. just check out Pacman's crx. It is in the 11's with a k20. Good luck with the swap...
