Default progress on new turbo setup. Update 2/28/05

I have been working on my friends car on and off for a while now Iam finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I have to finish the manifold and down pipe and Iam pretty much done . Enjoy

Nice TIG's but that IC look very odd. Whats with the smaller core relative to the endtanks?

Well, i'm assuming given turbo size, the intercooler placemennt and size, and what appears to be a fuel cell where the battery used to be. that this is going to be a track car. They can run smaller intercoolers because they are only running for a matter of seconds, such a short time that heat soak really isnt an issue

Yes this will be a track only car and I forgot to mention that I havent welded on the
caps for the intercooler yet. The intercooler is a water to air and the tank which you are talking about is for the water and ice to go into.

Well all I can really tell you is that the motor is built to the hilt and it is big 2.1 plus. Iam really just doing the fab work and the rest is up to my friend. I would be disapointed if the car makes any less than 500 hp. The car is a 4 door so Iam not to sure what kind of times it will turn, Its a pig.

back from the dead.

hoping Aka sees this and posts completed pics.

i was kidding about the radiator, on a race car, the minor details can be mounted elsewhere.
are you sumping the oil from the turbo?

Whoa !!! Back from the dead is rite. Its funny that this post came up again. I will be putting the finishing touches on this thing this weekend. I have to make room in my garage for a new toy that Iam getting so the car has to go !! I will definately post some finished pics when Iam done. And yes you will be able to see where the radiator is going.
