Default tranny leaking

So I just put a b18c in my 98 ek. I had the rear of the car on blocks to get it off the ground and also the front of the car. The *** end sat just a little higher in the air than the front of the car. I filled the tranny this way(w/gm syncro). I get the car licensed and insured and start driving it. I notice that I am leaking tranny fluid(can tell my the smell) out of the tranny. Pretty good leaking too. It looks like it could be leaking from up high on the tranny. So I drive the car for another day with the leaking tranny and then today after work I was planning on filling it back up with fluid but it was full.

What I'm wondering is maybe having the *** end up higher than the front end when I filled it caused me to overflow it. If that is the case where was the tranny leaking from for a day?

cliff notes: Tranny leaking then stopped leaking wtf?

Thanks

theres a breather on top of the tranny so it can't build pressure. you could have had it overfilled and it could have come out of that. maybe thats what happend. make sure its full, clean the tranny and drive it for a little longer then check for more leaks.
