95 CX (d15b8) headgasket choice... You must use the updated b8 HG!
For anyone that remembers, I bought a car with a blow headgakset. Its a 95 CX with a d15b8 engine. I bought a 96 Civic EX (y8) 3 layer metal headgasket for the car.
Today I went to Honda and ordered the dowel pins I forget and the Parts guy brought out two headgaskets: the Y8 and the updated metal 95 Civic CX (b8) headgasket. The two looked different and the coolant holes on b8 headgasket were more round than the y8. Went home today and double checked to see if the y8 HG lines up perfectly on both the head and block. The answer is that it doesnt. Just wanted to inform everyone that for the b8's, you have to go with the updated 2 layer metal HG specifically made for that car and cannot use the y8. I assume the y8 can only be used for the z6 or a6 engines.
I'll have pics up next weekend since I forgot my digital camera.

does this mean that i can't use the y8 gasket with my d15b8 block and say a d16y5 head that i plan to swap on in a few weeks?
