Something real weird... Please help.
K guys I know i've been posting a lot of **** in here asking various questions. But right now i think I have a good clue as to what happened to my car and I want to see if any of you know if this is OK.
Well, I have a 92 Si with D16Y8 in it... The guy claims he used the stock Z6 wiring harness and it seems like he did. Here are a few things about it
- He used the Z6 harness on the Y8
- The Y8 motor has an OBD2 Dizzy on it
- The Z6 harness seems to have been modified for the plugs to fit the obd2 dizzy
- The alternator is an OBD1 alternator.
Here is my question. I'm putting the stock Z6 back into the car but it's noly the block and the head so i'm transferring all the parts to the Z6. All the parts seem to fit but my question is. Can I used the OBD2 dizzy if the Z6 harness has already been modified to plug into the OBD2 dizzy?
My second question is... Will my idea work? or will I fail?
I konw this post is kind of weird but bare with me i'm kind of clueless

Hmm yeah I wish he has the Z6 dizzy. i might actually be giving him a call today to see if he has it. but then the problem would be needing the plugs for the obd1 dizy to mod the harness again
