When im just driving it jsut cuts off sometimes and it wont start until a couple of hours of just sitting there. Also my exhaust smells like rotten eggs??? I have also failed a emission test recently with my HC and CO too high. Im not throwing any codes it just cuts off by it self and i just dont know why.

It's your catalytic converter.

replace the cat converter. The catalyst is used beyond its servicable life. You can usually buy universal replacements for a pretty cheap.

Time for a new CAT. WHy-you are describing a failed one when you say "rotten eggs." Also the shutdown is due to the fact that the honeycomb material in the CAT is done and blocking the thing up. CATCO, Random Tech, or OEM replacement.

Everybody seems to quick to blame the cat. But rotten egg smell is really just a cat's way of crying out in pain. Now your cat may or may not be finished. But regardless, you are running rich. And unless you do something about it, you are just going to burn out another cat.

time for a tune up + new cat. and new o2 sensor. yes you may be running really rich too, any black stuff on the back of your bumper by the exhaust? if there is wipe it off and check if its back in a day or two.. if so yeah safe to say your running pretty rich or burning some oil.
