Default Skunk 2 mani for D16Y8 any good?

I've got a chance to buy 1 of these @ a good price & just wondering if anyone can tell me something about them good or bad. It would be going on a stock D16Y8 w/ just bolt-ons...CAI, header, hi flow cat & cat back exhaust. I'm sure it would work well on a turbo set up but just wanting to know if it would give the N/A motor just a little more ooompff. I would think just about anythings gotta be better than the stock mani. Thanks.

sohc=cheap and readily available, and even if it gets stolen, you aren't out by much!

the skunk2 manifold for the D series isnt much of a boost manifold at all.

i've heard alot of ups about it. but like said, if you want a boost manifold, go with something known for it, like venom

Keep the stock y8 manifold and get a bigger tb and have the manifold port matched. Should be plenty for boost.

checkin in here with the S2 mani..........................

well, i can notice that the top end pulls pretty good with a CAI an 62mm TB. If i had a good cam and some more tuning on my AFC, i could see some better numbers. my car dyno'd at 119/102 with the S2 IM. Overall, i think this would be a good manifold if there are D series guys out ther who are goin to go all motor.................If u boost it tho, go with the Edelbrock manifold because the shorter runners will benefit more with a boosted motor.........................
