Can u put power steering in a hatchback that didn't come with it?

I'm interested in a car without p/s so I need to know is it possible to install power steering in a 94 dx hatchback? How much work would it be and how much would it cost. Lemme know, thanks!

I think its possible but not worth the hassle, but since you ask...

Part i think are needed:
- Power Steering Rack
- PS Pump
- PS Belt
- Plumbing
- I believe there are special PS speed sensors

Someone help me out if i forgot something

definitely not worth the hassle too much work involved. esp on 96+ civics but anyhow just work out your arms for a few weeks a few reps with 20lb weights and u will have no problem with manual steering

why do you need power steering?

My mom has no problem driving my car without any ps. The only time that you even notice you dont have it is when you are parallel parking otherwise you cannot tell at all.
