ATTN: all DA turbo tegs!
i dont know what to cut for my fmic on my 92 front bumper. if u have a da, could u post what u did? i have a 24x8x3 backdoor pwr fmic. i need help! i dont want to just start cutting and then f up!!! please help me out and post pics if u could!

I also have a 92 teg. And am also installing my fmic from full race. I cut as much off as i could without cutting into the frame or brackets(for charge pipes). Im also cutting out a section of the bumber on Sunday ill let you know how it goes. Did you get a full race kit also? My intercooler pipes from them dont line up. I thought they were suppossed to be direct fit? Im calling them Monday.

well, it is the intercooler that they offer in their kits, it is the pwr backdoor. i am making my own ic piping, so it doesnt really matter where i mount my fmic, but could u get pics of what u cut? that would help me out a lot. did u just cut the plastic **** outta the middle?

u dont really have to worry about the bumper support...its basically just made for minor fender benders (to protect the radiator and such)...and while i wouldnt suggest taking it out, u dont have to really worry about cutting it up and having safety issues...if you have access to a sawzall, that would be the best choice...a dremel would work as well, but probably would take some time...
oh, and if you are talking about the plastic bumper cover, i actually cut mine with a box cutter! hehe, its pretty soft material.

yeah that is what i was thinking was possibly taking out like a 12 inch mid section of the bumper support. if it is too flimsy, i may have to weld on a steel bracket to help support it... but yeah, i am going to try and mock up the bumper tomorrow to see how everything fits. as of right now, i just dremeled out the grill thingy in the middle, and man that was a bitch...lol, the damn plastic melts in a sec!

i just cut the black plastic that was in the very middle the intercooler i got was made to fit in most stock honda front bumpers. its not that hard to cut and get the right fitment

Well, I cut the bumper today, not much left in the center section. But who cares my backdoor fmic is on and it looks damn good

u all need to post pics damnit!!!! lol... i will get pics up of my front bumper... hopefully tomorrow. i just have some sanding to do on the buper to make my dremel cuts a little more even.

lol, i overlooked your post, but yeah it is b17, 65k orignal miles... she is a beaut, and now she needs to be turboed. that avatar though does not really help me out, i cant see it that well and i was kinda looking to see what parts of the bumper support were cut...
