Default P28 Z6 Tranny

When i swap my B7 tranny(manual) for a Z6(manual), am i required to get the P28 ECU to be able to use it or no?

Im getting the ECU regardless because im doing a mini-me swap but not for a while...i just wanted to know, since ill have the tranny first, would i be able to "plug and play" the tranny on my stock ECU?

Thank You in advance

yep plug and play
the only sensors on the manual tranny is the back-up light and vehicle speed sensors, which are the same for all d series
