Default newly rebuilt engine runs like crap :/

Hey, i have a d16z6 head on a d16y7 bottom end in my 90 honda civic hatch ive converted it to mpfi and added vtec and its wired up to a p28 and theres no codes flashing when i start it up it runs horrible from 0 - 2000 rpms when i hit 2100 and up it runs normal any ideas? the timing is dead on and the only thing i have left to check is the sensors but im not getting any codes thrown so im still kinda stumped.

thanks alot

Derek

Have you changed the sparkplugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, and fuel filter yet?

just because the cam gear is right, doesnt mean that the cam is set right with the timing belt.

its either a distributor (wich you have ruled out) or cam timing.
