Default Header question....

Will an aftermarket header for an lx fit on an ex? It is a 4-2-1.

What year is your car? What engine was the header made for and what engine do you have?

This is from 1994 EX.

This is from 1997 LX.

Flanges look the same where the down pipe/secondaries meet the extension towards the cat (#17 top, #16 bottom).. But they have a different part #.

both headers will bolt up with no problem. the only difference is that the 02sensor is on the bottom of the header. the 02 sensor on the ex is more near the downpipe. feel free to correct me

I don't know if they would. I know the DC headers have different part numbers for the 94-97 EX and LX/DX.

actually, they will all interchange each other, the only difference is in the o2 bung. ive personally installed my dc "lx" header on both the vtec and nonvtec motors. every piece fits perfectly

I wouldn't waste my money... 5th gen EX header isnt bad, and you're not going to see that great of gains.

Yup what he said ^^^ what's the point of taking off your 4-2-1 stock header and putting on an aftermarket 4-2-1 header. Just take yours off and clean out all the carbon build up inside the header and it will be almost the same thing.

Well i think it would be smarter to spend that "less then $100" on something your car doesn't already have. I guess if you feel its going to help you then to ya.
