Default What is this little "nozle"?

This is found at the neck of the top coolant hose.

It is not connected through the neck, meaning it's some kind of cap.

Anybody?

When would I unscrew this valve? Seems like this is not an automatic valve.

Dnt know that one, but possibly when the car is running, but then there the risk of hott coolant getting on you.

When we swapped my Rex I did a coolant-flush. There were air-bubble in the system (probably b/c we suck).... That little bleeder-thing came in handy then.

And that was at idle-speed. I dont know if this'll help ?

When you've flushed your radiator, replaced the thermostat, or waterpump its necessary to bleed the air from the system after adding coolant again.

yeah if you don't bleed it, it will overheat because of air in the line

I need to tap a water temperature gauge sender some where. So would it be okay to put it in place of this valve?

Yup. In the event of coolant replacment processes, just start your car cold with the radiator cap off. It will bubble itself out over time. You can squeeze hoses for added facility.

Take the rad cap off and let it run, but play with the rad hoses too, helps. You could also try moving the car up and down a little, makes things a little faster.
