Default s2k indash????

I was wondering due to the console constraints if it was possible to put a filp out screen into an s2k. Or if there was a nice alternative that wasn't gonna be incredibly expensive. People have been telling me a lot of misinformation lately. I know the center console isn't the most audio video friendly one.
Thanks, Klutch

A flip out mnitor will not fit in the radio compartment. Ive seen people cut them into the dash. If your gonna do that might as well get the JDM navi.

My friend had a single DIN sized pull out monitor in his 04...i dont remembe the size of the screen itself but i know that it was just the size of a normal single din headunit when closed...i only saw it in there once before he moved up north but it seemed to work ok, it wasnt a very large screen though.

I have seen an S2000 with the dash cut out for a larger screen, if you want to get into that amount of modification.

better to cut do a jdm navi style screen, in the center of the dash. the flip ones either hit the shiftknob or you wind up hitting it everytime you shift

I was told that it would not open all the way because it would hit the climate controls. Ive also heard of people who say they've done it or have seen it. No one seems to be sure of what they saw though nor come up with pics of it.

Is that picture something factory on a jdm s2k or something somebody fabricated. Because if its fabricated that looks to be one of the best I've ever seen. If it is something jdm I want it now!

Its fabricated by one of my local shops. Its based upon the actual JDM navi screen, but everything was built from scratch.

I think the install and equipment = to over 5g's

I just slapped a Pioneer EL display headunit in the thing and some Alpine Type-R componants...good enough for a small car like that, i built an enclosure for behind the passenger seat but we just havent bought a sub or amp for it yet...i think an 8" will be plenty for that car, especially since my wife typically listens to stuff that doesnt require alot of bass...just the componants added a TON of better sound, even with the top down.
