Default Alarm experts – DIY basic Viper - 94 civic ex

Basically my goal is to stop thieves and keyless entry. I used to work in a car audio store and I know that you can do a lot with a basic Viper – more then I need. My idea is to install it myself and just take my time doing it. This will be the first alarm I install on my own but I have helped before and I know if you diy it you can take the extra little steps like blacking off the wires with tape and hiding the valet button well. I noticed that when you take a car into get an alarm most of the time the installer does a very typical / average install that most thieves expect. Now my problem is I would hate to get ½ way though installing the alarm and get stuck. I do have the option of trying to get a hold of the installers I used to work with but I doubt any of them are around now. I am not sure exactly what my question really is but what do you all think? Has anyone here installed an alarm themselves with little or no experience? I have a 94 civic ex by the way with power everything.

you just gotta know where the wires go. ive installed 3 alarms with remote start 2 way paging blah blah. installed them into my 94 teg, 92 hatch, and 2000 montero. id take my time tho. for my teg i took the extra time and extended the wiring from my brain so i could relocate it took me a good couple hours to extend everything. but id say its pretty straight foward just match up the wires.

Yeah I think if I can get a print out I could do it if I took my time. The problem is I don’t have that program anyone. I think its called “tech soft” and authorized dei dealers have it. You put the year make model of the car and it gives you a print out of where all the needed wires are. If anyone has that please let me know.
