Default New Tach Mandatory for engine swap?

anyone know if it's mandatory if i swap a K20A into an '03 EX civic?

if so, is it possible to get honda to make an original for me?

my stock tach only goes up to 8k rpm though, you sure it works?

160mph 9/10k? rpm etc

Mine goes to 8500, yours doesn't, or is 8 just the last actual number?

That would suck to fit. Size isn't right for an EX. You could use an RSX cluster if you want. I know there are "kits" for this.

somehow it is lol, except it doesn't limit the rpm unless i'm planning to take out the limiter and go past the redline

Mine goes past the 8500 by about a centimeter. I have my cut marked, so I know where it is. That way I'm not blindly revving.

so that means after a centimeter past 8500, the needle would stop moving even if i rev any higher?
