Default Viper 791 xv shock sensor question.

I have this DEI alarm 791 xv to be exact and I had it installed at this one shop. I've noticed that it doesn't set off much and is not sensitive enough. I havent checked where they installed the shock sensor and where would be the best place to mount it? I just hope they didnt put it underneath the steering column where it picks up less vibration. I;ve hear other people with the same alarm which sets off when a bird ***** on their car but mine doesn't. How exactly is sensitivity adjusted on 791 xv's or is it just the location of the sensor that matters? I cant find the instruction manual so I need help! TIA!

usually the shock sensor will have a adjusting feature to adjust the sensitivity. most likely like other places like best buys curcuit city....etc. they would usually install it under the steering colunm....just take a look for yourself

ive always installed the shock sensor to the steering colunm and had no problems at all. as long as its installed in a secure place where it can sense the impact of someone trying to get into your car should be fine

DEI alarm's shock sensors are to be zip tied to the harness. Its the clear plastic box. On one of the sides you will see a small orange piece of plastic inside the clear box with a phillips head on it. That is where you adjust for sensitivity. I want to say clockwise is more sesitive and counter-clockwise is less but I could be wrong. Just fool with it.
