Default Adding another shock sensor to the alarm?

I have a shock sensor that was installed with the alarm, and I have another shock sensor laying around my house.

Would be ok to splice it into the wires for the other shock sensor and mount it somewhere else?

diode isolate them from each other and it should be ok.
