it jumps up and down, from 1000 rpm to 1050
does anyone know what might be the problem

i did have oil all in the spark plug cuz my *** forgot to put the rubber stoppers around the valve cover.......i cleaned the oil out....changed the wires, cap/rotor, butdidnt change the spark plugs......was scared oil might creep in if not already...but car still runs fine vtec doesnt hit at times also...thats my weekend...can anyone help?

Check throttle body
IAC valve
Fast idle valve
Water in valve cover, leave wires off for a night
Change plugs - don't use anything other than NGK - please - I really don't want to explain

MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE VACUM LINES ARE CONNECTED

 

50 rpm doesnt seem like much a difference..it usaully idels a bit differntly after a intake install takes place..i dont think the idle thing should be affecting the vtec..check the vtec controller...also try a tank of higher octane gas..it might be running a little lean

can you buy hoses for my ride from peb boys or any auto parts store? or should i go straight to honda? i am missing a hose on top of my tb so i dunno where that goes....

 

is that the connector to the valve cover vent?..if so..get a hose and connect one to the other
