The CTR intake cam has 3 degrees more duration than the ITR intake. The exhaust Type R cams are the same. I believe you can get away with running Type R cams without stiffer or dual valve springs but just because you can get away with it doesn't make it a good idea. My B16A came with CTR cams and I rev it out to 8K without any problems but I don't know what valve springs it's got in there.

97-99 ITR intake cams are different than 00-01 ITR intake cams...

The 00-01 ITR and CTR intake cams are the one's that have the longer duration. All exhuast cams are the same.

There is nothing wrong with using CTR or ITR cams in your GSR motor. I had ITR cams on my old b16 and changed no valvetrain. Motor saw 8k+ rpms all the time and never had any problems with it.

Go for it, just make sure that the cam has the two engraved rings on it.
