Syphoning gas out of an EM1?
Ok, before you guys get all uppedy about this, there's a reason for this.
I have to take my car down to the port tomorrow to have it shipped back to the states. The only problem I'm having is that it has about 3/4 of a tank of gas. They want to have less than 1/4 of a tank when they put the car on the boat. Not sure why, it's their policy.
Driving the car until it's down to the 1/4 mark isn't an option because I'm having some "minor" engine problems and I'll be happy if the car makes it down to the port.
I know that some cars have these anti-syphon safeguard things in the tube leading down to the gas tank to keep shady ***** from stealing your gas.
To make a long story short, does the EM1 have one of these contraptions built into it? I need to pull about 5 gallons of gas out of my tank.
TIA

get about 5ft of clear hose, stick it in there. place hose in mouth and suck. once you see the fuel come up the line plug the end of it with your thumb and lower it into a gas can. this is some OG **** so be careful
Didn't read the post, did you? I know how to syphon gas out. I was just wondering if hondas had one of those anti-gas theft screens, or whatever the hell it is, in them.
And clear hose is for pussies.

He knows how to, he wants to know if he has that anti-syphone thing. Reading p0wnZ jo0!
Back on topic, you can always just try and stick it in there. I'm almost positive that it has a drain plug though. So if all else fails......

get a bucket and disconnect the banjo fitting from the fuel rail and have someone turn the ignition on.

Why dont you just drain the gas by unplugging the fuel return line and letting the gas drain into a container. Im not sure if you need to have the car idling or just on the second key position.

Damn, I figured there might be one. I remember a post a while back by a guy that was looking for that ellusive drain bolt on his gas tank and he swore up and down it wasn't there even with everybody showing him pics of where it's supposed to be.
If I remember right it's on the driver's side of the gas tank, correct? This'll be my project for tomorrow. Change oil, drain gas, install fender liners, put on boat.
