I don't want to turn this into a HKS Vs. Cybernation thread, but...
Does it come with E-Management(like the Guardian)?
And for almost 1500 more than the CN kit with the intercooler, how does the quality differ? (especially since the performance numbers are almost identical after adding other HKS stuff not included)

no the HKS turbo does not come with any sort of tunning device, K-pro is reccommended.
And are you seriously comparing the quailty of Cybernation kits to HKS kits? Come on.

this doesn't come with fual management OR injectors
so tack on another $1k for a k-pro and $400 for some RC injectors
on 100 octane, the guy who has it on clubrsx put down 315whp/276 lb. ft at 15 lbs. of boost with a fuel return line
IMO it is a nice kit, but waaaaaaaay overpriced and doesn't put down as much power as other kits out there...but it is a nice kit, don't get me wrong
here is the clubrsx thread on it with a person who owns the kit

there are plenty of cases when this is not true...as i stated in the clubrsx thread, this is a nice kit, but there is absolutely no reason why it should cost as much as it does

Funny...I've hooked up with a stripper for free and that was "nice" to say the least.

Please take in account that is MSRP prices. you can get the turbo kit and intercooler for $4100. The CN Stage 1 is like 4K anyways the only difference is it comes with injectors and Guardian which it does the job but defnetly not the best tunning device. Remember you are getting better quality parts, Ball bearing turbo, bigger intercooler, alot better quality manifold etc. With the K-pro and injectors you looking at $1000 more (street prices). so $5200 HKS against $4000 CN ill pay and extra 1200 bucks or watever to have a better quality kit with a faster response turbo, bigger intercooler and better tunning device

it is a nice kit, but you aren't breaking the prices down correctly
if you get a CN stage 1 with the guardian for $4k, you also get gauges AND you can sell the guardian anywhere online for $500...since CN hasn't released them to the public yet, they are in demand
so that takes the CN kit down to $3500 + k-pro = $4500 and you are good to go
HKS kit you say is $4100 with intercooler? (seems low, i'd like to see where you got those prices, but we'll run with them)...so you tack on a k-pro...$1000 extra = $5100...then you tack on a set of decent HI 650cc injectors for $400 = $5500...then you tack on a boost and air/fuel gauge so lets say $120 (since they are probably mechanical) = $5620
so the difference between the kits before tuning is over $1k...you DO get the ball bearing turbo with the hks which some people would opt for, but i prefer my 60-1 which is also a lot cheaper and puts out a significant amount more power with much more room for upgrading
don't get me wrong, i think the hks kit is really nice...high quality, great looking, seems like a good fit, etc. etc....it would just be much nicer if everything was included with this "kit" especially considering the base price
dollar for dollar, the CN kit will be faster than this...built motor vs. built motor, the CN kit will be faster...build quality, the hks kit wins hands down...it isn't even a close contest, this kit is really nice
so it all comes down to personal preference...i don't ever show my car so i went for all out power with the CN kit...my kit was $3800 with no gauges and the 60-1 upgrade...i guess they misquoted me so they had to give me that price
i'm running with the guardian for now, but i will most likely upgrade to a k-pro sometime down the line

i'd defenitely be interested in seeing a k-pro tuned hks kit as well

hks is top of the line in my book....one t67 on a r34 back about a year ago in turbo magazine put 1000 down..to the wheels
hks makes some really nice quality parts.....a company like hks doestn screw around..there is much r&d that go into anything they put out...and every part i have from them has great craftsmanship and i have no regrets.....
go with the hks....spend the extra cash..you wont be dissapointed
