Default h22 w/ b16 tranny or turbo b16

ok normally i hate this kind of thread but ive been thinking about this for a few months now and i can't make up my mind. right now i have a 91 crx w/ b16a1. i want a car that i can drive daily and that is reliable. i would like to be about to do low 13's or high 12's. since i already have the b16 in i think both the h22 or turbo would probably cost about the same? so which should i do?

well a turbo b16 requires a really good tune and engine management to be reliable, but stuff still can break if you run lots of boost and spike it often to try to beat someone, for example, its hard to resist temptation like that.

and reving the **** out of an h22 all the time... well.... :-/

why not boost an LS with your b16 tranny? best of all, those blocks are domestic, cheap, and you could build it up right while you still have a running car with the b16.

but its your car man. nothing i say really matters.

so boosting a LS is easier than boosting a b16? why is that?

so the H22 wont take a beating like the b series? huh, first time i heard that

i didn't think the H22 was too much fabing as long as you can find an adapter plate

i doubt it, were i live there are only 2 b16 (first gen anyhow) withing 40 mile radius.

Its 1.8 ,so less lag
Its more stout of a block
Has thicker rods
Has more low-end tq/power
Lower compresion
Dont have to worry about the vtec crossover when tuning

Only thing bad about the ls is the head cant flow worth **** compared to the b16 pr3 head

depends who built it and how.thats the bottom line.persoanlly if i had the choice,i would get a b16.when i fucked up my last b16 i still had the head and all working componets and i still went with another b16,my options 1.complete b16 longblock from hmotors =$810 shipped with all taxes included or 2.Buy a ls block do lots of extra work and only pay $400 to me the long block was a better option.
