I was doing a y8 intake manifold swap onto my y7 engine and after I connect everything up, I start it up and it starts revving to 5000 rpms and white smoke blows out of the exhaust. Check engine light was blinking so I only left it running for like 5 seconds.

I figure I connected a coolant hose to the wrong place and coolant was getting injected into the engine. Also I'm not sure that all the harness is connected to the right sensors.

Can anyone help me? Has anyone done this swap before that had the same problem?

PS It's a 96-98 y8 manifold on a 99-00 head.

recheck your vaccum line i'm willing to be that you have a couple lines swithed
