Ok, I bought a Hondata S200 last week. I just recieved my P28 from Hondata. But Im still waiting for my S200 from wired Speed lab. Now I just put the motor together today. And Ive ran into a problem. I test drove the car after the build and noticed that I have NO power and it is back firing when you step on the gas. Is this because I have only the Socketted P28 and no tunning device? Im really stumped and need a little advice. Here are my mods. I ran the same motor a month ago with NO problems. At that time it had CTR cams and a Chipped P29 by Erick's racing.

Hondata S200 (all motor) with P28
walbro 255
Rc 310cc injectors
AEM- Fuel Rail, Fuel Preeure Regulator, Cam Gears

get a stock ecu and see how it run's or wait for your s200 and then take it to get tuned for your motor

 

Ok what you said sound right. But wouldnt I have some kind of power with a Socketted P28 at least?

Not without the Hondata box. They probably made a Hondata base map for you and either the chip is not in there, or you are trying to run w/o the hondata box.

Ok I dont have the Hondata box yet. It will be here this week. The car runs and drives right now. But Like I said. I only have a socketted P28 running the motor.

 

Any codes?

 

The CEL light is on. And i tried to jump it so I could see what code was flashing. But for some reason now that I have this P28 that is Socketted I cant jump the codes to see which code it is.

 

It is because it is running in limp mode stunna. Solid CEL even after you jump it. Wait for the S200 and then install the base map and try it again.

 

ok I didnt know that it was in Limp mode. Thank you for your help. I was on Hondata.com in there forum's tring to get these same questions asked but never got a reply. Ill keep you up dated in a day or so after I get my box.
