Default Hood......99-00 CF

Opinion? Yeah VIS FiberImages etc are nice but before I pay $400 for a hood I'll just put another stock EBP on my SI

well if they still do it is worth the extra $200 because getting the holes right is a pain in the ***. when i did my buddy's i made him buy the LED pissers cause the only require a hole on a hole and some boxes on the ends that the stock ones need.

oh ya makes sure to get hood pins

Yes, definately get hood pins. No matter how same your cf hood may seem .....it's gonna go through your windshield. Actually a friend of mine had a vis hood on his eg and right after we wired up his vtec we went outside and tried it out and the hood went through the windshield. Sucked bawls.

So CF hoods can't be held down like normal Steel ones? Why?

they are light and the ends(over the headlamps) act like wings and cause lift which will break the latch in the center and WAM on your windshield. they are light and easy to break.

then you are good to go. just get the hood pins installed immediately

Get a small size battery and save the same weight.

the quality will be a lot crappier than a vis hood. the clear coat will start to go pretty quickly and it will just look like ****. a friend of mine bought the ebay special and he ended up buying a vis like a year later. imo if you don't want it keep it stock.

Yeah, I agree. Whatever they use to clear these "ebay" hoods likes to fade even when you keep it waxed. I know from experience, if you buy one buy a VIS or something very similar, a good reputable company with a warranty. If any of them offer warranties. Stock is always good too, I love me some electron blue pearl junt!

yeah i'm go'n stock jsut to get it back together..........speaking of which took fenders, bumper + real bumper, lights.......everything off the front. Insurance put in for my car to be put on a frame machine but there is no frame damage, only where the fenders mount is it bent down a slight 1/2"........looks like a fix it myselfer
