Okay, first lets get this right:
You're catyltic converter becomes red hod (glowing like super heated metal) when driving?
Only when driving hard, or just always? Are the pipes around it becoming that hot as well? Is it only when the car's warmed up?
Need a little bit more info, though I'm 100% lost on what it could be.

only the cats gets hot...i had the car jacked up today cause its the first time i was running the engine....(swapped engine) and i noticed the cat was super red like crazy
the cat is hot? does ur temperature of the engine stable?
check the o2... is this an aftermarket one?
Usually it weouldnt do this.. I had a different o2 in my car and the check engine lite was on... maybe u need to change the cat?

usually when a cat glows red hot it is either plugged (ie, the brick or element inside breaks and turns inside the cat) or you are running really rich. Check your
voltage at your connector. Also ohm check your sensor
