Went through and checked timing at TDC on #1 and distibutor and crankshaft pulley, all lined up good. so timing is on... but idle cycles from 3 down to 2 grand when heating up to op temp, then tries to drop to norm idle but keeps the loping from about 1500-2000, starts pattern as soon as fire up and will nt stop. don't want to touch ECU less i have to cause im kinda noob on that, looked through some strands but couldnt find one for my eng app. Whats next? EACV? O2 sensor? HELP?

 

mine does that too, except when cold it idles real low and when its warm it hunts from time to time, it could be a vacuum leak.

 

check your Fast Idle Thermal Valve (FITV) mine caused the bad idle... search for FITV there is a lot of threads about how to correct this issue.

 

i just fixed mine, my tps sensor was messed up, maybe you could try somone elses throttle body to see if your idle is fixes, good luck
