Radiator........which of these?
Did some searching and was wondering which to get. I've got a 99SI who's engine is basically stock but may do some minor things in the future. Had a accident and the radiator etc is shot. I plan to start autocrossing in the spring and was wondering:
#1 should I upgrade or just get a OEM replacement and from where?
#2 i've seen that Koyo, Fluidyne are popular but whats this also about using a Del Sol dual core......assume its a oem Del Sol radiator?
#3 i need to have the ac so if any void having ac then i don't want it
So basically, what radiator should I get for my 99SI with its basically stock engine with little upgrade in its future? -Doubt I boost even thought I'd like a Vortech SC but maybe cams etc are in its future

and for a radiator support, this place on ebay has the assembly for a 99coupe for just under $90.........thats about as cheap as i'll find it or is there somewhere else recommended? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33645

For the body parts I would recommend http://www.partschannel.com they had my core support for like 48 bucks on my eg. and they have fenders, hoods, bumpers for cheap too.
Keep your stock SI radiator, they've been proven to cool your car adequately for many people that are running boost etc. It just doesn't have the same bling factor as an aluminum one but that would just be overkill IMO.

I believe the Si radiator is a dual core stock like the del sol radiator. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. My car is in storage so I can't easily go check.
yeah $150 + the shipping...........i think it was $189 shipped, have to see what just a oem from Advance or Autozone or online instead.........if considerably less, why waste the money for nothing better

This one looks like it's primarily designed for a D series but will fit your B series with an adapter plate. You'll need to find out how much that plate will cost you. Great price though.

WTF are you smoking. First of all a dual core is out of a B series del sol, second of all it doesn't matter (no "adapter plate" needed), third of all that price is a little fishy.

I don't think you understood my post.
1)When did I ever say that a dual core wasn't out of a B series.

Upgrade your SOHC engine (EX, LX, DX models) radiators to this high quality dual core radiator!! *Si model owners will only need to get an adaptor to fit the inlet and outlet of the radiator which you can find them in any auto parts store.
</TD></TR></TABLE> That's straight from the Ebay description. This is a dual core radiator that'll fit all 92-00 civics (B and D). B series requires an adapter plate.
3)Yes, I agree with you, the price is fishy as hell.
Anyway, we're arguing over stupid ****.

yeah screw the ebay one............can someone just give me a comparison between the stock OEM 99-00 SI radiator to the aluminum StreetImports radiator?
EX: quality of the StreetImports rad, how well it works, cool any better than the stock oem........just don't want to get a POS
I just need to order one and get my can back together (see avatar) THANKS

That streetimports radiator looks like ****. For me, something in charge of an important part of my car will not look like it's about to explode.
I've had a couple Modine dual-cores in my car and they've worked great on/off the track w/ a B-series.

okay what's the point of spending $150 for some fucken radiator
when you can just go out to your local parts store and buy a dual core for like $100. And no you don't need no fucken adapter plate.
