just put on rear disk brakes
i just put on rear disk brakes on my dx, everything went well besides cutting myself on the heat shield trying to take off the e-brake lines. my question is are there any other methods in putting on the e brake lines, im saving it for tomorrow. the bolts to the lines are in the weirdest places and hard to get to.
do it right the first time so you don't have to redo it again. remove the exhaust, the heat shield, then bolt on the parking brake cables.
Did it the other day and didn't have to remove the exhaust. But it was a 98. Here is how I did it. Loosened the heat shield. When you're in the car tie some strings to the ends of the cables and put some petroleum on them (the cables). Pull them out past the rubber fittings. Get new cables tie the string to them. Put some duct tape on them so they don't snag as much going in. You might want to do the tape thing when pulling them out too but I didn't. Put some petroleum on the tape and then pull the string from inside the car and they'll come in. Remove tape and connect ebrake cable to bracket.

That sounds like way more work to me. Here is what I did (94cx)...
Un bolted the exhaust pipe at the muffler (2 bolts)
Remove Exhaust pipe from rubber hanger nearest muffler
Un bolt heat sheild (4 bolts)
Remove heat sheild (pull exhaust pipe left or right to remove
Now you have access to your cables (no tape or lube)
Installation is the reversal of removal
One of the Integra E-brake brackets doesn't line up on the drivers side, so be prepared to get creative.

That's what I did and I don't regret it at all. It was in the way of trying to push those rubber things in and I was like, "**** it, let's pull it out."
