i had my ecu chipped through silverbeast here on ht. i know he has a bad rap now.
but i was wondering if any one knew what would cause the fuel pump to stop turning on after being chipped. it worked fine before i sent it to him. does any one know if it could be repaired?
the ecu is a obd1 pr3.

i've had that happen with a bad chip before. Check the back of the board to make sure none of the solder is shorting out the circuits.

 

This may be a longshot but check your fuel pump relay...they tend to give trouble on older Hondas. It's usually located near the fuse panel inside the car.

 

back of the board is clean, and ive tried it in 3 or 4 cars. same result

cut J1 and try it.

 

i have a 90crx and sometimes i have to turn my car on and off about 20 to 30 times before the fule pump will kick in. do know where i can find a pic of it so i know what im looking for.

Definately the fuel pump relay, under the dash near the fuse panel.

Hey, I've got a chipped p28 with the same damn problem. Did you ever figure out the problem?
