we put a zc in a 91 dx, wired for mpfi, finish hookin everything up, went to start it and it would spin over but not start, check spack and compression then check for gas, fuel pump is pumpin and its getting to the fuel rail but not going throw the injectors. the motor has been sitting for a long time looks like it wasnt stored very well. i think that the injectors may be bad.

 

double check your wiring i bet thats where the problem is

 

you are using a MPFI ECU right?

Turn the motor over and over with the spark plugs out to make sure the injectors are not firing.

If it starts to smell like gas, then it's not the injectors by themselves.

 

checked injectors already, pulled out plugs nothing no hint of gas at all. check wiring. the only thing that im not sure about if the resistor box, it said to use yellow wire with the black line on it from the dx harness as the power for it but i think that the injector are old and stuffed up or its the resistor box. any help or pic on how it should look when your done wiring the resistor box

 

Have you checked to see if you are getting any power to your injectors?
What ever wires you have running from the resistor box to the injector should have 6-8volts, when the ignition is on.
Make sure you have that.

 

do you have the ground for the ECU connected at the thermostat housing?

 

yeah. most the time if you dont have that hooked up then you want have spark. i got spark but no gas

Which resistor box are you using? your not using the one off the dx are you?
