...? D15's aren't stupid. And what do you want... to rebuild your current B2?

If you want a SOHC vtec engine then your best bet is to get a JDM d15b vtec, or one of the newer EX motors. I have been reading a few post on here about people and there mini me setups, and a lot of them say that they have not been making much more power over stock. So it seems like it would be cheaper to just buy a complete engine that came vtec from the factory. This is just my opinion.

Well it all depends what you want to spend you money on. Do you want new bearings, rods, pistons, headbolts, ect... the list goes on and on.

As for the head, get it completely redone! New valve stem seals, make sure all hardware is good. Get it check for wrapage, all that stuff. I rebuilt my d15 about a year go and I just hit the 9,000 mile mark on it! The d15 is a great motor, I just hate spending $40 for an oil change, all Mobile 1 products! Best of luck, if you need some help, I might be able to give you some insight.
