i have an eg6 si. i want an all motor car. that pops off vtec hard any suggestions for a complete build from bottom up. i dont want to waste my money on somthing that i kno can have more power. influence me plz!

get a type R swap and build it, if money is no object. or get a k20a.

theres really soooooo many options out there.

but if you got a GSR motor and built it up with some high compression pistons and some big cams. youd definitely feel VTEC

if you want a motor solely for VTEC, get a b16. They have the best sounding VTEC I have heard usually. They are cheap, easy to build, and reliable.

if you just want the power of vtec your arent going to be satisfied because vtec is more sound then anything. yes there is an increase in rpm gain, but it is only a 2-4 hp increase when it pops... dont build around vtec or your car wont be worth much.

In that case, raise your VTEC engagement point by ~1000rpm and put a conical filter right on the throttle body. You'll hear and feel the "power" of VTEC at the expense of a slower car...

i got A stock h22 in a eg hatch and i spank type r hatches by 2 cars... so go either k20 or h22...

try findin someone that can drive. or instead! go to the track and get some REAL numbers. spanked by 2 cars means nothing to me. so while you were racing you had time to look behind u and count how many feet behind u he was? lol

get some real 1/4 mile times.

Get an H22, put forged pistons/rods in it, and feed it a 250 Hp shot of N20 that goes hot when you hit VTEC. You'll feel that **** pop.

By "pop" you mean shooting a rod through the side of the engine block yes?

If money is no object, k series is the way to go for an all motor build. Most likely it is though, so ill say built GSR since it is fairly priced. ITR and CTR would still be rather pricey but you gotta pay to play i guess!
