tranny will go into gear with engine on ....tranny wont spin cv's ....speedo moves ...throw out is r
d block and z6 ex tranny
no fluid in tranny (should not matter)
tranny shifts into gear but dont move
clutch is grabbing
tranny is slipping inside between the center shaft (or the speedo gear with ever is closer) and the cv joint thanks in advance

thats probably your problem....your probably grinding the gears away with all the friction happening with no fluid in it

i dont think it matters i was just try to move car it does not heat up in 2 seconds
if the speedo moves, that means the diff. is moving the vss.
take the axles off and look at the ''teeth'' so see if they are eaten away.
do yourself favor and put oil in that tranny before running it....

why would gears drop in though without the clutchplate being pressed
the speedo is erratic but spins faster in higher gear

you have got to be kidding me. everyone should know that you need to put oil in the tranny case before even trying to put it in gear. thats your whole problem. its a hydraulic transmission. looks like your gonna need a new transmission buddy. i have a couple in my garage for sale
. sorry to hear. and im surprised it didnt make any loud *** grinding noises or anything when you started it up. think next time

no bud its a hydro clutch slave..................... not a hydro fluid transmission.......u can take the oil out and drive it ...........ive done it

dude, stop saying you can drive the ttranny without oil...just because you have done it does not mean its right...
ouch for your synchros and bearings...

this is not helping me find what parts has failed or could be worn bump for some who can
Differential must be spinning, since the speedo indicates. So it's gotta be broken somewhere 'downstream' from that.
Actually, the outside of the differential must be spinning. It's possible the spider gears inside the differential have been destroyed. (do those need oil??)
The spline where the axle goes into the diff might be broken. In that case none of the axles will spin. Either side, they don't BOTH have to be broken.
The tripod bearing (inner CV joint) might be trashed. In that case the inner driver spins but the axle doesn't.
The outer CV joint might be trashed. In that case the axle shaft spins, but it doesn't drive the outer CV joint.
The splines where the outer CV joint drives the hub might be trashed. Then the CV joint spins too.

Of course you need oil man!! Why would it be in there in the first place otherwise?!!
Anyway one of the inner ends of the shafts may be stripped, and because of the diff, the other side will not drive. jack your car up one side at a time, engine off PUT OIL IN THE BOX, put it in gear and spin the wheel. if the engine turns on one side and not the other, you may just need to replace a shaft. Otherwise, diff is f**ked due to LACK OF OIL

Just so you know for next time... With the engine running and the clutch out, the input shaft to the transmission is spinning at engine speed. There are a couple ball/roller bearings on that shaft that is spinning at 1000 to 4000 rpm when you goose the throttle. Last time I checked, even unloaded rolling element bearings required lubricant.
Now for your problem, either the side gears and/or spider gears in the differential are gone, in which case the transmission case will be chock full of metal shavings; or the splines on the inner CV joints and the side gears are bad (stripped) or not engaged on one side... most likely the latter.
