Default Hooker aero chamber for a 4 cyl???

I have a b16 turbo setup w/ a 3" DP. I wanted to try to tone the sound down but don't know if Hooker mufflers are any good? Anyone ever try one of these? It appears the muffler flows very well for a chamber muffler. Any thoughts on this would be great! Thanks Honda-tech!!

Not familiar with it. Are you running nothing but open DP? I'm running the Thermal 3" catback with no cat and the sound is very quiet!

i'm going to get a 3" high flow cat and run a 3" stainless steel kit from kteller. What car are you runing the Thermal on? I've heard the exhaust loadness is very differant from car to car.

I guess I could go with a resonator in line if it's too loud huh? Would that work though? Does a res. really suppress noise well?

Yes...resonators are always an option...but I don't think you'll need one...especially if you're running a cat.

I would never run a chambered muffler on a turboed car.

Run the hooker MAX FLOW. Its not chambered, but straight thru and sounds better than the fart cans. Plus its black so it undercover and the price is very reasonable. Summit racing sells it for $60 and the insulation doesn't burn out after time. Good quality muffler with a good price

Dont put a cat on it. The Thermal Cat back should be sufficient enough to quiet down ur cat. If it is too loud, put a resonator on it. A cat will be very restrictive on a turbo car, even if it is highflow.
