would this work to make money?
buy a rolling chassis for 500, put a b16 in for 2000 and then sell for 3500? i really am hoping it would because that would be sweet.
my other plan to make money is this: sell fiberglass boxes that custom fit into CRXes, i can do whatever anyone wants. any takers? any comments? any ideas i could use? i basically wana work with CRXs as a part time job.

It'll nickel and dime you to death. Your chances of finding a good rolling chassis for that much and selling a crx with just a b16 and nothing else for $3500 are slim. I'd just do it and keep it. CRX's are the best cars ever.

This man is exactly right.
You don't really want to go into the used car business with such a narrow business plan. You're never going to see a real economic profit.

You should find hondas that are in need of some work and fix and then sell them. For example my cousin bought a 91 LS from Florida, got it home and blew a headgasket and found out that the threads for the head bolts were stripped. I could have bought the car off of her for $700, gotten a new LS block for $200, new gaskets $200, and sold the car for at least $2000, closer to $3000 because it was rust free.

in theory it seems like a great idea but in practicality its not there are so many factors that are out of your control that might make this business proposition lose money rather than make money. One that comes to mind is the amount of time you will be able to hold on a car to make a sale, sometimes the same car will be on sale for months while others will sell within hours of being on the market. I really depends.

you would have to be very good at finding shells, and very good at body work bc if your not the one doing all the painting and body work, your not going to make any money at it bc thats what usually makes the costs so prohibative for people. you could easily make much more at a normal job.
but hell, if it means some efs will get restored, DO IT!!!
