Use mandrel bends from your local performance shop.

at underhood temperatures, would u want choking fumes entering your lungs
when PVC is heated it emits toxic fumes.. very bad for motor, and car..

i agree with dustin..

The recommended operating temperature of PVC is capped at around 150 degrees. PVC emits dioxins when heated to high temperatures. Dioxins are extremely harmful. http://www.who.int/inf-fs/en/fact225.html

PVC is poly vinyl chloride so ... it emits cancer-causing gas when heated. Can't be good for your motor. PVC is for water and stuff.

They used to store old valuable coins in PVC, then they realized it released gas that reacts with the metal and combines to eat away at the coin. DOH!!

i doubt the gas emitted does anything to the motor whether its inert or not, i doubt it messes anything up. its not in any significant quantities, unless he PVC is on fire/melting.

if it is indeed inert, then the cancer causing gas is coming out your tailpipe. that just sucks. get metal.

Well, pollutants that get in the combustion chamber get in the oil. Why cheap out... steel cannot be much more expensive than pvc... and with steal at least you will not look like a moron with water pipes for IC piping

"inert" means non-reactive...
these gases are indeed reactive, dioxins are readily absorbed into the body, causing all sorts of ailments...

over time (and this is what i think) these superheated droplets of PVC will eventually build up into some sort of gunk in your motor...
but then again who am i to say....??
any comments..??

I got really sick and puked for a coupleof hours after working with PVC. Back when I was doing car stereo I was using them as ports for sub enclosure (common practice), I was rounding them with a router that had a worn bit and it smoked the plastic. I inhaled it and got sick soon after.
I couldnt even imagine what kind of temps are coming from the compressor before the IC? And I bet that the toxins released from it would have something to do with how the air/fuel mixture ignites inside the combustion chamber. , it may burn at a higher temperature and cause major detonation! I wouldnt with it. Dont be a cheap *** and buy that crap, hell your puttin the moeny into doing FI on a motor that wasnt meant for it, its already got enough stress as it is--do yourself, the guy behind you in traffic, and Bambi who's frolicking around in the nearbye wilderness a favor. BUY METAL IC PIPING!!!
