On a 9:1 motor, 400 WHP is very attainable on 91 octane. You can't even hook up that much on the street, so why try for more.

I made 358whp on a mustang dyno @14 psi w/gt35 turbo on a sleeved 9.5:1 gsr. I felt comfortable with that on 93 octane.

what does it matter? if you use alcohol injection you can make 600hp+ on pump gas, and alcohol is $0.77 a bottle at walmart

IPA that you get from the drug store is already 30% water.

I'm not sure if IPA is good with its 30% water content. You also are unable to distill the alcohol out of the water when they are combined in this ratio. It's not as simple as dumping alcohol into your motor...you'll need a way to control the amount of alcohol going in, and then tune for it.

IPA is good if you're in a fix and need something to dump in quick. I got a sleeved motor for a great price, but unfortunately it was already 10:1 compression, so I run an alkycontrol meth injection kit. I buy Sunoco methanol in drums, it's about 2 dollars a gallon and I usually run it straight.
