Sorta OT, but are you srue your getting $700 back or do you think you are getting $700 back?

I'm wondering how Bush's Immediate Tax relief last summer will have effect on our tax return checks.

What to do with tax return???
You should send your tax return in to the government. Then, if you paid more in taxes than were due, the government will send you back a check for your tax refund.

Use the $$ to go to the Expo '02! That's what I'll be doing if I can get the vacation time off!

Go to http://www.taxactonline.com and sign-up and fill in the information. Its free untill you submit it, then it cost 7.95 or something like that. But it will tell you how much you are getting back for free. I get about a little over $1500. And when you fill out the forms, it asks how much you got back in september, which for me was only $300.

I always find it amuzing that people get excited about getting large returns back...the larger they are the more excited people get. Its so illogical...getting a return just means that you gave the gov't an interest free loan all year. It was always your money...the larger the return the more you lent them for free, and the more you could have erned from lenbding it to a bank or other investor. I prefer to owe big at tax time...that means they lent me money for free all year and I can make money off that loan. try to get a bank to do that for you....

breaking even on 4/16 is a good thing too....

just my observation....

to stay on topic, spend the $700 and take a perf driving school, it will make you a whole lot faster than a cam and head gasket, thats for sure...skip barber is always fun.

Dave that is very true. But I would rather pay more and get a chunk at the end of the year. Its like finding money in a pair of pants you have not wore for 4 months. Sure I did not make any interest on it, but its 20 dollars more for then i started that day with. I've always been this way, dunno why. I used to hold on to my paycheck for 2 months at a time just so I could depost them all at one time so I had a big chunk of money to spend. I don't know about you guys, but I'll go out and blow $100 and not even thing twice about it, but when it comes to $1000 its a different story.

Fawking taxes suck *** anyways... they took almost $18,000 from me this year... damn bitches

Its just money you already made .....

For $550, you can get a set of Crower 63403's, and use the rest (plus some pocket money) for springs and retainers!

Then you tune them, and have a good start on your way to 200 whp with more mods later ......

Screw that investing crap ....... every investment I have (401K) and my son's educational mutual funds haven't made much of anything in the last 1-1/2 years ..... spend the money on yourself until the market is better!

You do not have to invest in the Stock Market, A roth IRA is alot differant, if you need me to explain how it works, email me

Also It really only works with those that make under 60,000 a year

Not exactly. Those making less than $60,000 per year may be able to deduct part of the contributions, and their investment earnings will be tax-deferred. Those making more than that amount may not be able to deduct part of the contributions, but their investment earnings are also tax-deferred, so it's still a good deal.
