cheap...there is nothing significantly cheap you could do to your car to make it fast. for 250-350 dollars you could get some headers...how much horse power would that make? 8 whp tops right? intake? lets say you get the new aem v2, that'll cost yah 200 dollars if you're lucky...probably 5-7 whp tops down low and the exhaust..maybe 1-2 whp up high? and lets make that a skunk2 exhaust...500 dollars. that'll run you 950 dollars for a total of 17 whp if you're lucky...but im pretty sure you cant squeeze out that much power out of a d15 with just i/h/e. just save your money and swap or swap/turbo. d16z6 swap...500 for whole swap i'd say...b16a/b 2000 plus shipping...they gots more potential then spending 2000 dollars on a d15...and in the end...you're just going to end up getting disappointed in the honda that couldnt.
Cheapest thing you can do for power, I would say N2O. Run maybe a 50 shot and you should ne ok (depending on the condition of your motor). I have seen full kits go for $250-300.

MPFI. You can find cheap on ebay. You can find an intake throttle body set up for about $100-$150. Engine harness is needed and Si computer. Then spray the

What you have done now pretty much mods out the d15 which sucks I know cuz im a student with a d16y and cant afford a swap yet. But I don’t think that nos is a good idea for a d15, or a d16. somebody wrote up there that a 50 shot should be fine which is true, but your motor isn’t going to last, especially since if your motors a d15 cuz there’s probably some km/miles on your engine. I think the first person talked about something like im about to, I know it as the mini me swap. Its when you take a vtec head and slap it onto your d15. The motor is still gona be sohc so don’t expect a drastic power boost, but from what I hear it beats the hell out of the stock d15/16. I don’t know everything about the mini me swap, but you can research it a bit! From what I hear its like $500 can to buy from a local yard.. so its a start on your swapping career! Good luck!
Don't underestimate the difference your gearing can make. Running a hybrid transmission (ZC 1-4 gears, Si 5th, Si FD/Diff) can give you a performance boost you might underestimate. True, it won't add a single horsepower to the engine's output, but it *will* effectively up the torque a bit.
I dropped one in my '91 CRX DX (I used an HF 5th gear instead of the Si 5th, but that's just me being different and trying to challenge the guy who was actually putting it together), along with a bone-stock, 200,000-mile D16A6 ('coz I had the engine lying around after wrecking my wife's Civic Si, and I knew it was a damn solid engine). GTech readings, while trying to baby the new clutch, showed 0-60mph times of 7.0-7.1 seconds, compared with a stock '91 Si's 7.7-8.2 for the same trip (sourced from old road test data). I realize the GTech isn't the last word in accuracy, but we're still talking about a half-second to a second difference. And I realize the DX is lighter... marginally - especially with ME driving it (260 lbs, probably bigger than your average test driver). So I'd say it's a pretty fair comparison.
These are performance gains that are on par with I/H/E, and for less. It might not LOOK like anything special, but some of us *like* the sleeper, all-stock look.
And when I feel the need for more power, I still get to do the I/H/E and other stuff!
