i got a stock 97 EK...i live in NY so its really cold now....well before the car is warmed up when it first starts it makes a heavy rattling noise. I noticed this noise while i drive but a much lower and undetectible tone. Im pretty sure its the exhaust cause its kind of rusty...but when i got down to hear better and its comin from the mid-front of the car too...maybe cat-back...i dunno..if neone knows bout this problem i would appreciate it...

Probably just one of the exhaust heat shields.

yup!

i've had this exact problem on my '95 Hatch, and both my previous '94 and '97 Accords, i removed it on all 3 and problems were solved.

 

Usually the heat shield gets loose an rattles

 

would neone know how i could fix this? myself

 

tear (or unbolt) that maderfaker off!!!!!
