Default cat problem

i posted 2 days ago about a rattle noise, i got under the car and when the accelerator was pressed the rattle noise came from the cat/exhaust it made a noise that sounded like rocks were in it rattling, so i dont know what it could be, when i drive it rattles between 1000 and 2500 rpms and when i start up the car. i did have a problem when i hit a raised manhole and tore out my exhaust from the cat i had it replaced and then when i was drivin on the highway the cats heatsheild came loose and was draggin on the ground and eventually broke off so i dont know if that has anything to do with it any advice would help

if you say your heat shield flew off it could of been only the bottom part of the heat shield. the top part of the heat shield could still be there

Or it could be pieces of the catalyst rattling around inside.

I'd get an ebay cheepo free-flow-cat, and see if that helps

Id look under your car at the cat and see if you can see anything from the outside. Then shake it and knock on it and see if you can hear anything.
P.S. Wait until the exhaust cools a little bit before u touch it, cuz it wont feel good.
