Reconstruction title, anyone ever register one, or buy a car with one? let me know!!!
Has anyone in jersey or whatever, buy a car or tried registering a reconstruction title? let me know im looking to buy a car but it has a reconstruction title, thanks alot please PM me and let me know since this thread moves fast, thanks in adance
your best bet would be to go see your local notary. im PA if the car already has the R (reconstructed) title you can just buy it like any ohter car. but if its still a slavage certificate 4 pictures of the car have to be taken (front ,back , both sides) and a form has to be filled out of the repairs made to the car and the recipts for the parts used for the repairs, the the salage certificate is sent in with the paper work and recipts and "roughly" 14 days later you recive a reconstructed title.. but thats in PA , jersey might be a little different.
its not to bad, I've build seven cars from lexus is 300 to civic si. its not as hard as many say to get it titled. plus u get the car cheaper. so its all about your point of view. if u want a clean tilte buy one from the dealer if u want to save some money get a salvage title.

I agree, some cars are salvaged with work that bondo could solve as compared to other cars that actually have extensive frame damage.
It's all in the beholder and in my case, I would rather drive a cheaper car, than an expensive salvage reconstructed vehicle just for piece of mind

FYI, in my opinion, a hatch would be a perfect example of a car not to get salvage titled. It's not worth it to buy it salvage nor is it worth it to fix, but in the right eyes, anything is possibly done
