what type of tranny?? ::searched::
searched on honda tech and on g2ic.com.. my tranny code is a 's1' not what type of tranny it is.. goes 4k rpm at 80 mph on the freeway so all i know is that its a short geard tranny.. b16? b17? can someone sell me what type it is. its a cable tranny. thanx

im hitting around 4k around 80mph and im using the S4C tranny which is the Si tranny hope this help.

does ur trans have writing on it? i have a 93 ls/ special modle code is lsk 1. thats a good tranny. better than ls not quite as good as gsr or b16. sorry bout the spelling

I believe it's the long geared LS tranny with a 4.4 final drive. I have the same tranny. Long *** third gear.

Dude you don't have a GSR tranny. It's a LS S1. Read my post above. My LS S1 does 4k at 80 mph and it has a long *** third gear just like all the LS trannies.
