Default Would this work?

My 5-spd '92 Civic DX HB does not have a tach. I found this odd and the previouse owner (1st owner) said when he bought the car it did not come with one. I am new to this import stuff and just wanted to know if this was true and why? Also I want a tach. because it makes knowing when to shift that much easier. So my other question would be if I can go to a junkyard and pull one out of say a 5-spd Si and hook it up in my car. Would I have to re-wire or get a different ECU or harness? Help! I am in the dark on this one. If anybody could help it would be of great use.

Would you need an Si underdash harness to get the Si tach to work or could you use the cx/dx underdash harness with an Si gauge cluster alone?

Si cluster alone works. no other requirements but get the cluster and plug it up.

The tach harness or adaptor is behind your stock cluster already, just plug it into the right spot in the new cluster....simple....you can even put your old milage in the new one too by unscrewing like 4 screws and swapping it out....search is your friend

Any trim/coupe/hatch/sedan/Auto/Stick they will all work as long as it came from a 92-95 civic.

CX and DX clusters don't come with tach's. ^. any 92-95 civic clusters are plug and play. automatic manual. 4 doors you name it will work. That's why hondas are cool haha.
