Default ok im ***'ed now what???

My Eagle H-beam rods are tapping, they use to knock but we replaced the bearings now they tapp SUPER!!!! sorry anyways my engine has many upgraded parts, I wanna swap a new motor in but not sure what to put in? the engine in my crx now is a B18a Block with a B20 head dont ask why. should i just go with a straight B20 or LS? I also have a T3/T4 turbo that will be put on the new engine.

thanks...

If you tune it right it should run fine at low boost. If you want to boost the hell out of it, then build it before you put the block in.

If you get a used engine make sure you check that it's fairly healthy. Do a compression and leak down test. If it's in medium to good condition go ahead and boost it. Those things are good to 300whp fairly safely on a good tune. you can do 260 very easily.

you can get 300whp reliably out of an ls if tuned properly...

alot of people are running in the 250-300whp range @ 10-15psi boost ranges...

b20 sleeves like to crack under boost pressures... Not saying that a 7-8psi wouldnt be great but that seems to be the threshhold for those sleeves from what ive seen...

Get some Uberdata, or Hondata and go to the dyno to get it tuned. You will make more power like that and it will be more reliable.

and ou can run more hp since it will be tunned a lot better. Remember boost isn't what is stressfull to the engine it's the HP it produces. example: 250whp @15psi is a lot less stressfull then 300whp @6psi.

If the bearings were spun the last time, your crank journal may be bad. Replacing the bearing wouldn't fix this problem. Do you have an oil pressure gauge? Did you inspect the crank to see if it had any wear?

the oil pressure gauge doesnt work but im fed up with it and want to start off fresh. will a b18b be fine? does it come with the wiring harness etc? almost everything i have is for a b18a. but i guess if its a B-series it doesnt matter.
