Default coils slammed with Tokico blues

Would tokico blues still ride smooth if the coils were slammed down to the bottom..
I have some cheap ebay coils I will be using or does it really make a difference if I use skunks or GC's and what else coils could go really low. :

the blues will not ride smooth with the coils slammed like that.

I have the skunk2 coils and the blues and I have it set at a moderate height for a decent ride.

What shocks are good then. I want to get shocks that are not to expensive that I can slam the coils all the way down and still have a good ride.

yea i have tokico illuminas with Skunk coils

and they are set about half way down and thats deffinatly as low as id go

slammed coils on a crx will send you tanking into lots of things (at least up here in NY it wil)

basically you cannot get both and have a good ride but if your riding on stock struts and ebay coils slammed im sure tokicos or anything would feel good after that!

...then it's not going to be cheap.

How much are you looking to spend? Those ebay coils arent going to cut it.

Not going to happen with coilover sleeves and off-the-shelf dampers.

Either way, you're going to have to make a compromise in either ride height or ride quality. The lower you go, the less suspension travel you have to work with - meaning that with soft springs, you'll constantly be bottoming out. To avoid bottoming, you'll need stiffer springs (and dampers with the proper valving to control them) - which sacrifice ride quality.

Can't have it both ways. If you want the car low, you're going to have to deal with the problems that go along with it.

You may want to look into something with a very short stroke, like the H&R "Ultralow" coilover setup. No idea what the ride is like though, because I've never ridden in a car with them nor have I ever seen spring rates or damping curves.

No suspension will ride good while being "slammed"..

Unless you want air ride..but even air ride is bouncy until it breaks in

Good idea. Airbags are what this guy is looking for. A conventional coil-over-shock setup just can't do what he wants.

NO and neither will any other setup if you bottom out the shocks.

U from Guam? Cool, well, back to the tread. i got a CRX HF w/b16 and i got some tokiko blues with some Skunk 2's and i got the rear all the way down and the front still have about 1/4 of tread left on the sleeves and it rides really good. Bottom line it depends on the weight of the vehicle? Hope this helps.

Shooooot!

GC and KYB AGX's 4 way adjustables or perhaps H&R/Neuspeed race springs.
