H22A4=(SH OR NORMAL LUDE??)
Hello i am looking into buying a 97 lude 5 spd. i saw the engine code and it says H22A4 and i am curious if it is a SH model or just a normal lude, cuz it has the factory SH gound effects on it.
and another question, if it is a SH then does it have an LSD transmission???

the SH has atts( active torque transfer system) and yes it also has painted side
skirts. The engine is pretty much the same though. If your looking to go boosted i
suggest you go with the base though.

you can see the Part of the ATTS unit near the engine code a little to the left of it over the tranny. if the owner does not know, that is. also an easy way to tell is the SH has lights on the inside of the door panel for other cars to see when it is open. i'm assuming the badges have been removed, if not, just look on the trunk lid.

The H22A4 engine is in both the base and the SH model.
The SH doesn't have an LSD, it has ATTS (active torque transfer system) which will have a *similar* effect.
It is entirely likely SH skirts were added to a base (regular) Prelude.

yes i see the ATTS unit now that u mention it. the emblems on the trunk were removed so it was kind of hard to tell until i got a closer look at it.

i have a base...i was in the same place you were i decided to go with the base because its easyer to boost and i was told that lowering an sh is a pain in the side because of the atts.
